So I'm finally following through with my promises of catching up on my blog! I just finished up July 2010 and am working on Aug. If you have looked at my blog lately then you have seen this first post because it has been up for a while but if you keep scrolling down you will see all of July :D You will need to click on "older posts" to see all of my July posts. Hero Camp! July 26th

One of our favorite activities of the summer was going to Hero camp with my cousin Amber. A few moms from her stake put this on every year and it is just AWESOME! All moms that sign up their kids have to volunteer one day so it ends up being a team effort. The kids spend the whole week learning about Book of Mormon Hero's in a really fun and creative way. Each day they had a Book of Mormon Hero come in and talk to the kids about his life. The kids really enjoyed this and got excited about meeting their Hero's each day. One day my cousin Jeff came as Nephi and I heard Paul yell out over all the kids "LOOK MOM IT"S NEPHI!!!!" to him it REALLY was Nephi :D

Each day was jam packed full of activities, scavenger hunts, dog shows, pictures, singing, scriptures, crafts and snacks! I know that this is something my boys will never forget and I hope we have the opportunity to participate again.

I tried to take as many pictures as I could but I still had to take care of Ben which made it difficult!

Monday....

Paul was so excited to finally be old enough to participate! He always has to watch the "big boys" go to school and parties etc... but now that he is 4 he gets to do things with the "big boys"!

This was a pretty hectic morning because the kids were super excited and didn't know what to expect, but this girl was just AMAZING with the kids!

She had them laughing, singing songs and having a GREAT time! After the opening ceremonies they were off to do crafts and other fun activities!

Tuesday...

Tuesday was great because they started the day with a dog show!!! What kid doesn't want to watch dogs do tricks!?!? My kids talked about this for weeks!

Even Ben and Mary enjoyed the show :)

Wednesday...

Here are a few of the activities they did on Wednesday....

they went into the gym which was full of timed stations with little challenges at each one.

...it was quite a challenge to get them to stay put!! But Joseph was a good sport...

then they had to shoot down soda cans with rubberbands...

Brig was proud to be the only one who actually knocked them all down!

And they had to move cotton balls from one bowl to another without using their hands!

Paul got to be in the same group as his cousin Karen! (my cousin Ambers little girl)

They had alot of fun together and it was great to see them get to know each other a little bit.

WE carpooled with my friend Amber Lowry so I had a car FULL of boys!

After Hero camp on Wednesday we met Grandma Bettie and my cousin Katie at the beach. The boys love the beach and ALWAYS have a great time there!

Thursday...

Amber was in charge of one full day and I was on her crew to help out and set up. She had her brother Jeffrey come in as Nephi and tell about his trials and the adversity he faced and how he trusted in the Lord and was blessed. They had a "Book of Mormon Hero" come in at the beginning of each day to talk to the kids. It was so cute to see their excitement as they got to meet their Hero's! The kids REALLY got into it!

We made a the gym into a Beach Party! The goal was to teach them to work together as a team as they moved from one station to the next...

The parachute was a BIG HIT of coarse!

They couldn't get enough of the bouncer...

.... and they learned to work as a team as they played soccer...

...even the big kids had a good time!

...they had to dig through the balls to find puzzle pieces and then work as a team to put the puzzle together...

..and they had to compete against another group to see who could stack the buckets to the line first. They had a great time at our "beach party" learning how to be team players!

On the last day of Hero Camp we had a graduation ceremony for the kids. They got to do skits, sing and dance and at the end they were given certificates, medals and a little scrapbook of their week. It was a really cute little ceremony (I got it on video that's why I don't have pictures of it).

After the "Graduation" they had a party at the Lagoon. They had a great time swimming and playing with all their new friends...and it was SUCH a beautiful day!

Ben finally got to participate in the fun!!!

I just love this picture of Ben! He e looks like a little Cupie doll or the Coppertone baby! He is so dang cute, I just want to eat him up !

And look at what a sweet boy Paul is!

Again...he was such a good sport with his cast on!

Brig helped take care of him to make sure he didn't get his cast wet.

They had so much fun and DID NOT want to leave.

What an AMAZING week! I am SO GRATEFUL that my boys were able to participate in Hero camp and see the Book of Mormon come to life. I know this is an experience they will never forget! These are the little things that over time increase their faith and build their testimonies. I can't express how grateful I am to have the Gospel in my life and all the WONDERFUL people who love and care about my children and their well being. It truly takes a village to raise a child and I am so grateful for all the support that I receive from other church members. I hope I can give back as much as I am given :)

Pioneer Day Celebration ~ July 24th

Our ward did a really fun activity for th 24th of July celebration. The leaders dressed up like pioneers and showed the kids how to do some of the things the pioneers did. First they sat around a "campfire" and sang songs.....

The kids REALLY enjoyed that! Sister Fuller (the primary pres. was so great with the kids)

then they got to work! Here is Paul working hard with his one arm :)

They learned how to make butter....

They learned how to make some of the games that the pioneers played....

And finally they learned how to lasso! We had a "real life" cowboy in our ward, Brother Gibson, who came to teach the kids how to rope a horse or cow. They had so much fun with this! Brigham was first...of course!

I was so impressed that he got it so quickly...I might have some cowboys on my hands in a few years :)

Joseph did a great job too!

And they ended this fun day with a pioneer dinner and stories around the "campfire". What a blessing it is to be associated with such great people who work so hard to create wonderful activities like this for my children to learn and grow in the gospel.

Joseph's Birthday Party July 16th

Josephs Birthday is July 11th (7-11 easy to remember) and that was the same week we got home from our big Utah trip. I just didn't have it in me to throw a big party.... so when Joseph told me that all he wanted was a Chuck E Cheese party I was probably as excited as he was ;) No cleaning the house first, no dishes, no mess! All I had to do was send out an email letting everyone know about it, and show up! This was just what I needed and just what Joseph wanted so it worked out for both of us!

It was so fun to see the excitement in Joseph's eyes when we got to Chuck E Cheese and HE got to be the center of attention for a few hours. Being the "middle child", Joseph sometimes gets overshadowed by his "show off" big brother and his "cute" little baby brothers, so I was happy to see him get the spotlight for a little while. Joseph is such a sweetheart and tries so hard to make sure everyone else is happy so it was great to see him enjoy his special day!

Joseph LOVES his grandmas and is lucky to live close to both of them. It was fun for him to have both of them at his party!

I can't believe he is 7 already!

This was the reason Joseph wanted to have his birthday at Chuck E Cheese. They have been advertising this little machine on TV for months now! He was really excited to finally get his turn in the "ticketblaster"!

He had to try and grab as many tickets as he could while the tickets were blowing all around him.

We all had fun watching him have such a great time!

After the ticketblaster we all sang Happy Birthday to Joseph!

Drive in and Raging waters 2010 ~ July 9th

So we didn't waste ANY time after coming home from our trip......we just kept the fun going! We the day after we got home we decided to go to Riverside and go to the drive in movies. The kids had SO much fun! We saw the movie Despicable Me. The kids really liked it, but I didn't get to really watch it because I was chasing Ben half the night ;)

This was when mommy FINALLY got to relax.....

I was so impressed that Paul was such a good sport! He NEVER complained about his cast... and that thing was heavy! I put a towel around it, then put plastic wrap around it, thenput a plastic bag on it, then put floaties on it and finally I put a tube around his waist for him to rest it on while he was swimming just to MAKE SURE it wouldn't go under :D I think his arm weighed more than he did!

4th of July (Getting back on track.....for real this time)

I really am setting a new goal to start blogging again in 2011. This last year was a whirlwind, but I am recuperating and getting used to be the mother of 4 boys (after 2 years :) I realized that it was after Ben was born that I stopped blogging, but he is 2 years old now ( I can't believe it...wish I could push pause) and I am finally starting to feel like I have a little time on my hands again to do the things I enjoy doing. I've given up on trying to "catch up" on my blog! I said I have a "little" time....not enough to make up the last year, but I am going to try (try being the key word) to keep up with my blog again. Here are some pictures from the last few months. Enjoy!

A few highlights from our Utah trip in July

This is such a gorgeous spot, we just had to stop

and take a picture! This was at 6am and I was

really wishing we had time to stop and take some

more family pictures, but we were on our way

to the 4th of July parade in Provo!

We love to watch the parade from my parents

rental home on Center Street. The parade

goes right past it, so we always have great seats :)

It's it's pretty hard to get a good picture

when you have 4 boys....so when it does

happen I just cherish them. I am so blessed

to have such amazing boys in my life! (inc Mike :)

They had a blast playing in the Provo river up

Provo canyon...it was beautiful there!

We decided to take the boys up to

the Salt Lake temple before Mike

had to go back home....isn't it gorgeous!

They had a great time!

Mike had to get back to work so he headed home

and I stayed in Utah with the boys and my niece

Sierra for about a week. I snapped this picture of

Joseph at Veterans park right before a lifeguard

told me no cameras were aloud...lame! Anyway,

the boys had fun on all the water slides and we even

made it back for a 2nd trip before we headed home

later in the week!

We stayed with a friend of Tara's (which was a bit

of an adventure). We didn't want to disturb them

so we went out to my car and watched a movie

until the boys settled down.

Poor little Paulie!!!! This was an unexpected trip

...on our trip :) We were in Park City shopping at

the outlets and the kids were getting really tired of

shopping (and I was getting tired of shopping with

the kids) so I asked Sierra if she could watch the

boys on the playground while I paid for my stuff.

About 5 minutes later we get a call from Sierra

saying Paul broke his arm....I did not expect to see

what I came upon at the park!!! It was so bad!!!

His little arm was just mangled...

He was such a trooper! This did not set us back at

all! He was up and ready to go the very next day!

In fact In the hotel room the next morning I had

to scold him for jumping from one bed to the other!

If you know me, you know I love a good time!

And I love seeing my kids have a good time, so

I just didn't have it in me to make Paul sit and

watch all the other kids swim. I decided to

saran wrap his arm, put a plastic bag over it and

then put floaties over the bag :) It worked pretty

well, so we used this ALL SUMMER LONG! It

was a pain, but Paul still had a fun summer :D

He decided he HAD to swim under water...so

we made it work. This was the day after he

broke it!

A guys gotta do what a guys gotta do!

After leaving Park City we went to Provo to see

uncle Paul and stay with some friends of ours

(thanks Megan!). We decided it would be fun to

go bowling with Paul....

and we were right!

We ALL had a great time!

After we hung out with Paul for a while I took

the boys on a tour of BYU! They loved it, they

kept telling me they couldn't wait to go to BYU!

I heard about this dinosaur museum....and what

boy doesn't just LOVE dinosaurs....even if they

are dead!

This was our favorite one! It was actually really

neat (and it was free). If you live in Provo and have

never been you should go...my boys still talk about

how cool it was!

We tried to fit as much fun (free) stuff in as we

could before we had to go home, so I took the boys

and Sierra to an outdoor movie at BYU. We saw

planet 51.

We were having a great time, the weather was

great and the boys were loving the movie, then

about 20 minutes before the movie ended....

It started POURING! Not just a little A LOT!!!

But we still had a good time! It was a fun little

adventure at the end of our trip :) We headed

home the next day. I just LOVE going on vacation

to Utah!!!

After we had Brigham, Mike and I decided to have family pictures taken every year so that we could look back and see how much our kids have grown . I am SO glad we have followed through with this because I LOVE being able to see each stage in their life...it brings back such GREAT memories! It makes me sad that these years are flying by too fast! I just know I am going to be one of those people that watches old home videos and looks through scrapbooks and CRIES!!! I wish I could just push pause! But I can't so the next best thing is capturing these sweet moments in a picture and journaling about them. Here are a few pictures from our last photo session. We went to a train museum near our house and the kids had a BLAST!

Puppy love!

So way back in October our dog had puppies! It was SUCH a stressful week for me because Torrey (our dog) has never been a mommy and I have never had a dog that had puppies so we were BOTH pretty clueless. I'm sad to say that of the 5 puppies only 2 lived :( It was really sad and hard to deal with but as you can see the 2 that survived are just SO cute! The one we kept is on the left and we named her Kenzie. We were really concerned about finding a home for the other puppy but luckily our neighbor (a dog lover) was looking for a puppy! It worked out great! I'll have to post some more recent pictures of the puppy but these pictures are SOOOO cute! Mike and I were playing around with the camera and got some pretty cute shots!

The boys just could not get enough of these puppies so I grabbed

my camera one day while the big boys were at school and

got a couple shots of the little boys with the puppies! I could not get

them to put the puppies down, they just wanted to hold them all day! So cute...

Puppies are fun but they sure are alot of work! :)

August update...

Well we had a great summer full of park days, AMC free movie Tuesdays, Castle Park, the beach, Chuck E Cheese, movies in the park and family vacations! Things finally started to settle down as we got the kids all ready for school. Here are some fun pictures of the boys just hangin out helping mommy make cookies and then just being silly on the couch with baby Ben.

They thought it was really cool that they got to crack the eggs open :) Fun for them....but mommy had to do some digging to find the little pieces of egg shells.

Next the flour...

And everyone's favorite part...licking the spoons...mixers...bowl...etc :P

But Pauls favorite part was mixing in the chocolate chips...although he spent a lot of his time EATING the chocolate chips!

After we ate some yummy cookies the boys were all snuggling on the couch watching a movie when Ben started being really silly and everyone burst out laughing! I had to take pics!

July update

I'm going to try to get caught up on my blog as quickly as possible seeing as how it is March and I'm posting about July!!! So I'm just going to skim through the next 8 months so I can start blogging about current events!

July was lots of fun! We had our trip to Utah for the 4th of July and then Josephs 7th Birthday party....here are a few photo's!

Love these woman!!! I remember my first visit to the cabin 10 years ago I just fell in love with Mike's family. Each one of these woman have blessed my life one way or another!

One of the funnest things about going to the cabin is just chillin with the fam and getting to know everyone better. Uncle Wayne is famous for playing his guitar and singing. Here are some of the guys playin around with their guitars...while they play everyone else kind of joins in here or there when they play a song you know.

My favorite activity is the lip sync! This year we did the song "I need a hero" from flashdance! I was the lead singer and we dressed each one of the boys up like hero's. I have to admit I made a bigger fool of myself this year than all of the last 10 years put together...I am still embarrassed!

We got bandannas that said Jackson Family Reunion on themand as you can see Paul felt like a real tough guy! :)

We always end the week by attending the ward that Mike's grandparents grew up in. It's always a great meeting because a lot of the family members get up to bear their testimonies. We always take a family picture right after church....so here we are....the Mike Davis Clan!

After church we visit the family cemetery. A lot of Mike's ancestors are buried here. His grandma Jackson passed away the year before so this was the first time we visited her grave as a family. She is buried right next to his grandpa Jackson.

July 11th... Josephs Birthday!

Joseph turned 6 on July 11, 2009. We had a really fun pool party for him and uncle Todd's house with all of his cousins! Here he is with his homemade "Star Wars" cake and his buddies! Left to right: Shaun, Brig, Joseph, Paul and Bryce!

Here are a few videos from our fishing trip in June. The first one is our 3 year old Paul catching his first fish! You can hearBen crying in the videos...but he actually had a really great time...he just got mad when i put him down to pick up the camera! :)

This one was Brigs first catch of the day! Certainly not his first catch ever...this kids a pro...he's been fishing since he was two :)

June update...

My munchkins....
June 3rd

Sometimes when I have alot of work to do I will
put Ben in the boys room and have them play with
him until I'm done. Well I put him down and about
5 minutes later I just hear a roar of laughter, giggles
and squeals coming from their room. I went in to
find Ben trying so hard to be silly and funny so that
his brothers would laugh at him! Every time he
did some thing funny the big boys would start lauughing
and Ben would be so proud of himself he would let out a
squeal! It was sooo cute I just couldn't resist taking
pictures! I love that my boys love to play together!

Silly boy! They learn so young how fun it is to
be the center of attention :)

Everyone loves our little Benny!

Ben wore these kids out! They had so much fun
that it only took a few minutes after I took Ben
out of the room for them to fall asleep. That
NEVER happens! I guess I should do it more often!

Ben was still wide awake and happy as can be,
so I gave him a bath. He decided he wasn't done
being silly so I got the camera out again!

He was starting to fade after a while....

and out!!! He slept soundly the rest of the night!

We just love this boy! What a blessing baby's
are...they bring so much love and joy with them
when they come.
Brigham's 1st grade end of the year Field Trip
June 4th

For Brigs end of the year field trip we walked
the kids down to a restaurant call The Peppertree
Cafe. They got to have breakfast and use the
manners they have been learning. It was really
fun. I was able to go and be a chaperone which
which was fun for both Brig and I. It was nice
to see him being respectful to the servers and
teachers and interacting with his friends.

Summertime for us is just a three month party! I am usually out taking the kids from one excited place to another. Here are just a few pictures of some of the fun things we did in June after school let out.

Chuck E Cheese
June 12

I can't tell you how many times we went to Riverside
to meet grandma Thompson at Chuck E Cheese.
Here is a picture of her with the kids and some
cousins. It was nice because the kids could run
and play while I visited with my mom. Happy kids +
happy mom + a great time!!

Ben was so good all summer! He spent so much
time in his watching all the kids running circles
around him. What a good sport!

June 12

Mike and I decided to try something new for
our date night so we went to the race track...
it was soooo much fun!

I let Mike beat me :) but I still had a blast!

June 17

We went to the beach quite a bit this year because
we didn't get our Raging Waters passes this year.

Castle Park
June 18

Although we didn't get season passes to Raging
Waters we did get them for Castle Park. We went
about once a week the whole summer. We met
Aunt Jaime there with all the cousins and the kids
thought they were at Disneyland !! :) This time all
the kids were on the Big kid rides so I just hung out
with Paul and took picture! He had a blast!

The Park
June 23

We spent alot of time playing on the playground
of Williams Elementary School. The kids were so
sad to hear it was closing and that they had to go
to another school. Williams is just around the corner
from our house so we go and play there a lot. It will
be interesting to see what is done with it once it is

just brought so much laughter into our home and
we are all so greatful that Heavenly father sent
this sweet little spirit into our family! Brigham
said it perfectly when he said "Mom we must have
been really good and Heavenly Father must love
us alot to send OUR FAMILY the cutest baby".
The only thing I had to add the that is...that "You
mean to send us the 4 cutest babies!" :) We have
been blessed with amazing kids!

Our trip to Utah
started June 26th

Every year for the 4th of July we go to the Jackson (Mikes moms side) Family Reunion in Bicknell, UT. We decided to leave a little early this year and go to the Mormon Miracle Pageant at the Manti Temple because Mike and the boys had never seen it. Here is a recap of our Utah trip :)

St George, Utah

On our way to Bicknell we decided to stop off in
St. George and visit our good friends Jason and
Trisha Hemphill. They took us to this water park
to cool off and the boys had a great time! We
had such a fun time visiting them and getting
to know their kids! Here is a picture of their

June 26

Here is the beautiful Manti Temple! I love this
Temple. Every year they do this pageant and it
is so amazing!! If you have never been...GO! It is
such an awesome experience. My boys loved it
and they still talk about it. I've seen it three times
and every time I love it more!

The Waterfall at Capital Reef
June 27

So we talked Sterling an Malinda into coming
to the Cabin with us and we are so glad they did!
We had such a good time playing games and
showing them around Capital Reef! We love
the waterfall at Capital Reef so we decided to
take them there and let the kids play. While
we were there Sterling took Mike and the kid
on a little rock climbing adventure!

A Day of Fishing at Otter Creek,
June 29th

BEDHEAD!!! Ben and daddy just woke up and
were getting ready for our fun day of fishing...

this little boat to go out on the lake with.

May Update

So... May was full of days at the beach, swimming at the pool and goofing around. No major events (other than Memorial Day) so I only have a few fun photo's for May. Can't wait to get caught up so I can start updating weekly rather than trying to update a full year! I guess I kind-of have an excuse with having another baby and all....well here is May 09 for the Davis Family!

I was making dinner one night and Paul was begging
me to let him help, so he washed his hands and had
a blast helping me!

He even waited patiently by the oven so he
could take it out. I wish making dinner could
be as fun for me as it was for him!

Bake Sale! Mmmmmmm....

So my boys are getting to the age where they are constantly asking me to buy them stuff! I'm sorry but I just don't believe in giving kids everything they want. Even at a young age I think they need to learn to work for things. It is very important to me to raise my boys to be hard working and smart with their money. Some day they are going to have to provide for a family and I want them to learn at a good work ethic early in life. They kept begging me to buy them these crappy toy guns at a gas station down the street. I told them i wasn't going to buy them a toy that was going to be in the trash the next day, but if they wanted to work hard and earn the money themselves they could buy them. My plan was to teach them to save some money for missions/college, pay their tithing and then if they had enough they could buy their toy. So I told them I would bake some brownies and muffins and they could sell them and keep the money. They were so excited! They started making signs and helped me wrap up the baked goods.

did actually. They were pretty good little salesmen!

Don't forget Paul! He waved this little mangled loaf of
banana bread around the whole time....nobody
ended up buying it (wonder why) so I let him eat it!
He did sell a few brownies though :)

They sure weren't shy...they had one car after
another drive past, then turn around and buy
something. They were so excited, it was really
cute!

They earned $17.00 and were so excited! It was definitely worth the day of baking when I saw how proud they were of themselves :)

Paul's Birthday!

We started April off by celebrating Paul's 3rd Birthday on April 3rd. We decided to keep it pretty low key and invite his pre-school age friends so they could have fun without the older kids picking on them ;) . Paul had a blast...I made peanut butter sandwich and fruit kabobs for lunch and we let the kids ride bikes in the culdesac. Then we played pin the tail on the donkey (which apparently is a super fun game when your 3) before bringing the party inside for cake, ice cream and presents!!

Our trip to Utah

We decided to take a trip to Utah to go to Melanie's baptism and I ended up staying for a week! We left on Friday and Mike flew home for work on Tuesday so we could stay for the rest of the week. The boys had spring break and we didn't want to go home and do nothing when we could stay in Utah and have some fun!!! We stayed with Aunt Dawn and Uncle Kevin for a couple days then went to stay with our good friends Sterling and Malinda Barnes for a couple days. We also spent a lot of time with my cousin Katie who was also visiting from CA. Here are some Pics.

February Recap ~ Baseball!!

February was full of baseball!!! Brigham was in Farm this year on the Rangers and Joseph was in T-ball on the Angels. They both did really well and we are very proud to have such athletic boys. They were pretty good sports for the most part and they really enjoyed being part of their teams. Here are a few pictures of Joseph and I will post pictures of Brigham later. His pictures are on our other camera so I need to download them and my scanner is broken at the moment so once I can scan the team pictures I will post those too.

Paul at the fair

Brigham had his first field trip to the LA County fair and I had a total panic attack about someone snatching him, so what did I do??? I stalked his class! I wanted to be a chaperon but I was too prego and I had Paul. I told my mom I was going and she insisted on going with me (thanks mom) so she got up at 6:30 am and drove down to meet me. While we were there we got some cute pictures of Paul. He had a blast, my panic attack worked out great for him :) This was about 1 week before the baby was born.

Friends Shower

Fishing with Chad & Heather

On September 19 & 20 Chad and Heather invited us to go to Big Bear to go fishing with them. They got us a super sweet deal at their timeshare so we stayed the night and got up early to go fishing! It was so much fun! The kids had a blast with their cousins an it was nice to spend some time with Chad and Heather and my dad and mom. I think this might have been what put me into labor because I started having contractions the next day.

He's Finally Here!

Our 9 year Anniversary

Our anniversary was 2 days after the baby was born so we decided to celebrate by going to lunch at The Corner Bakery. I was supposed to plan our anniversary this year but just got a little busy =)

it now! We had such a good time. Paul and little

Ben were so well behaved. I guess that was their

little anniversary gift to us!

I bought the cake at the restaurant, took the apple

cider and glasses the hospital gave us and the flowers

my parents brought and had a sweet little dessert with

my sweetheart =)

I Love My Family

I have the best family! My mom, sister, sisters in law and cousins had a shower for me at Olive Garden. Katie planned it (thanks Katie) before I had the baby but when he came 2 weeks early we had to push it back. It was alot of fun and I got some great stuff! It was nice to have the baby there for everyone to see :)

I got this little video of Paul today. I was watching the kids while Summer went to the store and I lost track of Paul for a minute. I was looking all over the house and then went out back to find him. I called out his name and his little head popped out of the top of this tree and said "What!" He promptly came back down so I made him climb back up so I could get it on camera. Some of you moms with weak stomachs might want to look away. Anyway, for your enjoyment.

Baby Benjamin is Here!

We are so excited to announce that Benjamin Michael Davis was born Monday September 22 ( 2 weeks early). He weighed only 6 lb 4 oz, our smallest baby yet! It was BY FAR my easiest delivery. We were admitted to the hospital at 3:00pm and he was born at 7:42pm. He is such a sweet baby and his brothers absolutely adore him! Paul is still warming up to him so as soon as we have pics with him we'll post them! =D

I know some of you are wondering what the heck happened to Luke or Porter right?? Well we decided that since neither one of us wanted the others choice we would decide on something we both really liked....Benjamin! We'll probably use Luke or Porter the next time around, but they just didn't feel right this time. We actually decided on his name when they admitted us into the hospital 3 hours before he was born!

Girls weekend!!!

For the last 2 years I have planned a "girls weekend" with my sister, sisters in law, my mom and all my Cali cousins. This year was sooooo much fun! We stayed at Todd and Kristen's house and I hired 2 message therapists and an esthetician...it was heaven!! We all got facials ad messages, we sat in the hot tub and gabbed and ordered Olive Garden for dinner, YUMMM! We all brought our "favorite things" and shared them with each other so we got to leave with a nice goody bag full of fun stuff! We stayed up chatting till 3:30 am, got up and had a delicious breakfast, got dressed and headed out for shopping, movies and dinner! Everyone needs a fun getaway like this! I felt so rejuvenated when I got home! It was so nice to have this relaxing getaway before the baby comes! Thanks to my family for coming and making this such a fun weekend! I love you guys! And thanks to all our wonderful hubbies for watching the kids so we could have our "time out".

The Twilight Movie

Oh My Gosh! I finally finished the Twilight Series and I loved it!! I finished Breaking Dawn this evening and now I can't wait for the movies to come out!!! I know Twilight comes out November 21st so if anyone wants to go with me let me know we can make it a party!! If you haven't read these books yet you are seriously missing out. I am not a reader, but these books have made me excited to read. I think the last novel I read was in High School and I just read all 4 books in about a month. I highly recommend you read them and then come with me to see the movie!!! Our Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend we decided to meet my parents up in Big Bear, spend the night with them in their travel trailer and get up early Saturday morning for some fishing. We rented a Pontoon boat and took the boys out. They had soooooo much fun as you will see from this slide show. We caught so many fish! We had a blast! There are about 30 pictures so it's kind of long but there are some cute pictures of them catching fish!! On Labor Day we decided to go swimming at uncle Lee's house then we went to see the movie "Fly me to the moon". It was 3D and the boys really enjoyed it. Then we got some ice cream at Coldstone before heading home. What a great weekend!

First Day of School!

So this year Brigham started 1st grade and Joseph started Kindergarden! I think they are the most handsome boys in the whole school, but I'm not prejudice or anything! They are both really loving their teachers and there classmates. I asked them both what their favorite thing about school was, Brig said playing on the big playground and Joseph said going to the same school as Brig! I was really worried about how Joseph would do because he just didn't seem as ready as Brig did last year, but he has done great! We were so excited because he got the same teacher's Brig had last year and we just loved them!!! A perfect fit for Joseph, they are both sweet and bubbly which is exactly the type of person that motivates him. Brig also got an amazing teacher and has alot of the same kids in his class as last year. Here are some pictures.

Pregnancy Pictures

OK so I know I am so crazy for posting pregnancy pictures on my blog because everybody hates to see themselves huge like this and I am no exception, but I think it is important to document this kind of stuff! Call me crazy! I think it's because I am the youngest and I have never seen a picture of my own mom pregnant and always thought it would be neat to see. I have tried to take a picture during every pregnancy...so this is the latest. This was after church one day and Brigham and Joseph were begging me to let them take a picture with the camera so I decided to let them, they did pretty good for being 5 and 6. These were the better ones, I have a few of my legs or butt you know the ones I'll never post and need to erase! Anyway enjoy looking at me as a fatty now cause I only have 34 more days and them I am going to kick my own butt into shape!! I like being pregnant starting at about 4 months and ending at about 7. At 8 months now I am soooo uncomfortable and ready to have this baby I could cry!!! I just hope it goes by fast, I am really trying to keep myself busy.

This is one of the highlights of Mike's year! This is when he gets to just be one of the guys and let loose and have fun! I'm really glad they go and do this every year, I think they deserve it for all there hard work (plus it gives me an excuse to have my girls weekend=). They rented a really nice RV and pulled the quads behind them. Four days of fishing, quads and whatever else it is that guys do when they don't have to worry about the wife and kids.

Raging Waters!!

So now that gas is so much I decided the best way to keep my kids busy this summer was to buy season passes to Raging Waters. They absolutely love it and so do I! I just sit in a chair in the shade and watch them have a blast, then we go to the lazy river before we head home. We had so much fun I talked my whole family into buying passes! So now my mom comes down with Kim, Boo, Todd, Sierra, Greg, Trevor, Ethan, Kate and Shawn and we all go together then they spend the night and we go the next day before they head home. My kids have really enjoyed spending time with grandma and cousins. There were to many pictures to post so I made a slide. Stay tuned for more....we go every week!

4th of July

Some of you no that 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. We go to Utah every year, but this year we couldn't because I am so prego! So this year we went to Todd and Kristen's house for a pool party. We all had a good time, but I have to say Ccalifornia just doesn't do the 4th like Utah does! I missed seeing all the flags up and down Center street, the parades, the carnivals and performers and fireworks! But we still had a great time at Todd and Kristen's house, thanks for saving our 4th of July!

On June 20th Joseph graduated from pre-school. I can't believe he is going to be in kindergarten this year...they grow up tooo fast! He was really cute performing his songs. These pictures aren't that great and I can't figure out how to download the video, but when I do I'll add it to the blog.

Brigham's T-ball team had a party at a place called "Pump it up" with bouncers and stuff. The kids had lots of fun jumping and playing games and then we went into one of the rooms for pizza cake and trophy's. Of course I didn't remember to pull outmy camera until we were in the back room...duh!

In May we decided it would be fun to go camping in Big Bear. We invited Chad and my parents to come along and we all had a great time.

We decided to take the ski lift at Snow summit and eat lunch at the top. The kids loved the ride and the view was gorgeous! That is something everyone should try. I'd like to do it again soon.

My brother Tommy and his wife Jaime welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family on Monday, May 5th. She is so precious! She is a tiny little thing and never makes a sound. She has such a sweet face doesn't she?

Womens Conference

We had such an amazing time at Womens Conference last week. I always love to visit Utah, but I especially love it when I go for this conference! It was so spiritual and uplifting. It was a great opportunity to rejuvinate an put things into perspective. In a later post I want to share some of the things I learned at Conference, but because of time I'll just tell you a little about the trip and show a few pictures. I went with my mom, my sister and my 2 cousins Emily and Amber. We had such a fun time eating out, shopping, going to the movies, going to the Temple and of course attending Conference. I met up with my friend of 18 years, Malinda (Bradford) Barnes on Friday and we attended some classes together, went to dinner at Rubt River (YUM!) and attended the Thurday night concert with Hillary Weeks, Kenneth Cope, Michael Mclean and many others. I'm so glad we have kept in touch all these years we always have so much fun together.

OK so our oven has been broken for about 2 months now and I am desperate for some good dinner recipes that don't involve an oven! Crock pot and stove is about all I've got! I have made the same spaghetti, roast, chicken gravy, crock pot chicken and cheeseburgers for the last month and I'm really tired of it. If you have any ideas please let me know!!!

I thought this was pretty cute. This weekend we had to stop by my office for about an hour and Brigham decided to write me a story while he waited for me. He left it on my desk and I found it this morning when I went in to the office. He wrote it in exactly the same format as the stories that he has to read for kindergarten. Can you believe it!! Another boy! That means I am going to be out numbered 5 boys to 1 girl! I'm actually kind-of scared for when they are teenagers! We are really excited, I think it will be fun to have a house full of rowdy boys! We are still trying to come to grips with the fact that we won't be able to have nice things in our home for about 25 years, our walls will probably have chipped paint, dents and crayon marks for another 6 years and our grocery bill will be outrageous for another 18 years. But I'm sure we'll have alot of fun along the way! Some of you may be wondering if we are done and the answer is no. I think we will try for a girl 1 more time and if we have one great and if not, 5 boys will be more fun than 4 right??? I actually wanted 5 kids regardless of if they are boys or girls. Anyway ...just wanted to share our exciting news! I have been super busy lately with company, birthdays and Disneyland so I'm hoping I'll be able to update our blog soon.

Easter Fun

Easter this year was a bit different than years past. Usually the boys wake up and come into our room to wake us up so they can find their Easter baskets. We usually take lots of pictures while they are looking for their baskets and when they find it. The problem this year was that the boys skipped the part where the come into our room and wake us up!!! I was so exhausted I woke up at 8:30 to a bunch of boys running around with their new cowboy outfits and guns with candy all over the place! So that is why I have no pictures of Easter morning.

We went to church and had an awesome meeting that focused on Christ, The Atonement and Ressurrection. I was really able to feel the Spirit and it set the tone for the rest of my day and helped me to remember why we celebrate Easter. I took a picture of Brig and Joseph with their new sunglasses on after church. Paul was asleep.

Later we went to my parents house for our big Easter Dinner and egg hunt! It was lots of fun. I love spending time with my family, they are all so fun and the kids love being with their cousins.

St Patricks Day

So for St Patricks Day I tried to be the fun mom that went all out for the holidays. I dressed them for school in green and told them if they didn't wear green everyone could pinch them (In the pictures Brig's wearing his b-ball shirt cause he had practice). For dinner I decided to make everything green, from food and drinks to dessert, but it kind of back fired on me!!! When everyone saw the green chicken and rice casserole they lost there appetite (and if I'm honest, so did I). I learned my lesson and next year we will not have a green dinner, but as you can see they loved there green cake!

Thankful Thursday

Things I am thankful for this week:

#1 Our Health. After being so sick for 2 weeks it really reminds you what a blessing it is to be healthy. It makes me want to make the most of each day! When I don't want to go to the gym I just have to remember what a blessing it is to be healthy enough to be able to go and by exercising I am being proactive about staying healthy. I am so grateful that our little family has good health and pray that we will always have good health.

#2 Spring!!! I love this time of year, just after the rainy season when everything is green and beautiful! We were driving to my parents house yesterday and Mike and I started talking about how beautiful this time of year is in California. We don't really get to experience the four season's here, but it is obvious that it's Spring! I love the orange and yellow wild flowers that grow along the roads and the green green grass.

#3 Snuggles in the morning! My favorite time of day is in the morning when all three of the boys jump in our bed and snuggle with us! Mike took this picture because we thought it was funny that they jumped in bed to snuggle with us and Joseph and Paul fell back to sleep.

#4 Girls Nights Out! We decided to get all the mommy cousins together once a month for a girls night out and we always have such a good time together!

I love how Dr. Phil compares mothers to bank accounts. He said most women do things for everyone but themselves. They make withdrawal after withdrawal and never make a deposit and then wonder why they are so overdrawn (exhausted, tired, stressed). I am a strong believer in a monthly mommy's night out because if mommy aint happy aint nobody happy!! I always come home so refreshed after a night out with food, fun and "girl talk"!!! Mike likes it too because then he doesn't have to listen to all my "girl talk" and I am happy and rejuvenated for another month! So if you don't have a night out get one or join us!

#5 The stork is on it's way!! I am happy to finally announce that baby #4 is on it's way! I am about 11 weeks along and feeling pretty good! Of course we are hoping for a girl, but we will be so happy for a boy too. Boys are so fun and I would be happy to have four of them, but it would be fun to have the experience of a little girl too! We'll find out in about 6 weeks and when we do we'll let you know! Hopefully our baby will be cuter than the on in this picture! Ha! Ha!

While I was sick my mom came to the rescue!!! My kids hadn't been out of the house in like a week and I was so sick I couldn't gt out of bed, so she came up and saved me! You should have seen my kids when they saw grandma! My mom brought me some food, cleaned my house and took the boys for 2 days!!! When I went up to Gavalin Hills to pick them up they didn't want to go home! What kid would, it is like Disneyland up there for them! Valentines Day

Valentines Day was really fun! Since we couldn't find a babysitter we decided to do something fun as a family. I went and bought a dozen roses, some cellophane, strawberries and chocolate. I seperated the roses and wrapped them individually then dipped the strawberries in chocolate and wrapped them. Then we took a rose and a flower to a few of the older ladies in our ward and our sweet neighbor Bettie. When we got home Mike had left a card and a stuffed animal for each of the boys on the table and a box of See's candy and a card for me!! What a great guy! I got him some stuff for Valentines but that stays between Mike and I! Hee! Hee!

For Brigham's birthday I baked cupcakes and took them to his class, he loved being the helper and passing out the cupcakes and drinks and the kids loved the sprinkles! We had planned to get Disneyland passes and take the family to Disneyland but it was raining on his birthday, so we decided to call up all the cousins and do Chuck E Cheese again (our back up plan for the last 2 years)! The kids had a good time and we did go to Disneyland later in the week.

Mike and I decided that we love this kid! He is by far the best singer on American Idol right now! This was one of my favorite performances ever on Idol! Just so all of you know I have been sicker than a dog for about 2 weeks!! It started with a bladder infection (I know you all wanted to know that), then the flu/bronchitis, I can't wait to feel better. I have literally only been out of my bed to go to the bathreoom and eat for the last 3 days. My wonderful hubby has been taking care of the boys. I finally feel good enough to update my blog. I have been tagged a few times so you are all about to find out more about me than you really care to know.

THE FACTS...strange or not ~

1. When I was younger I used to hate it when girls would pretend to be my friends just to get close to my brothers!!! I am the youngest of five kids and I have 3 older brothers. I remember when I was in 2nd grade I had a sleep over for my birthday and half way through the night almost all my friends were in my brothers room hanging out with them and flirting disgustingly!! I went upstairs to cry and found 3 of my best friends talking about how lame it was that all the other girls were flirting with my brothers. Those 3 girls are still great friends of mine to this day! Thank goodness for good friends!

2. When I was in the 6th grade I loved New Kids On The Block! I went to a concert with my mom, my Aunt and a bunch of my cousins. I was so in love with Joey! Sorry Katie...I have to tell the story! One night my cousin Katie spent the night and as we were going to sleep I told her that it looked like my poster of Joey was looking at me. She said she thought he was looking at her. So we started fighting about who he was looking at and who he liked more until finally Katie went home. Whenever we bring this up to each other we laugh so hard we cry!!!

3. I used to want to have 12 kids, until I had 1. Now I think we'll have 4 or 5.

4. Mike and I were engaged 3 weeks after our first kiss. What can I say....when you got it, you got it!

5. I can burp longer and louder than anyone you have ever met! No Lie! You can ask my family, cousins, or my husband...even my kids will tell you! They love it when mommy burps so loud and blames it on them. I got it from my dad, we have horrible stomaches and we blow up like balloons and then belch like a bunch of Irish drunks!!!!

6. I thought I was going to be totally cool in High School because everyone knew my brothers. Then the summer before my freshman year happened!!! I went to my friends house to get my hair cut and her mom gave me a total butch hair cut and a month later my parents decided to get me braces!!! I was soooo ugly!! If that wasn't bad enough 6 months into my freshman year my parents decided to move me away from all of my friends (and my brothers hot friends) to Utah where I knew nobody. For about 2 months Chad and I ate lunch together like total dorks. I met some great friends out there but had a serious "loser" curse! It's probably a good thing I moved away because if Mike had met me in High School he probably would have never married me. Needless to say I was NOT cool in High School!

7. I was on the Country Dance Team at UVSC. Wasn't cool in college either!

I was working as a Home Health Aide in Provo, Utah and I had just met this super hot guy named Mike Davis that I was totally crushing on!! (my how time flies)
2. 5 things on my to-do list today
Not throw up, sleep, eat, take some Tylenol, go back to bed.
3. What snacks do I enjoy?
Ice cream, all fruit(especially peaches and oranges), popcorn, chocolate !!

Pay our tithing, pay of both our houses and all debt, go to Hawaii with our families, set up retirement and investment accounts, totally hook up our families (Pay off their debt and set both our parents up with a nice retirement) , set up college and mission funds for our boys, buy a small condo in Prague and donate money to cancer research. Mc Donalds, Hogi Yogi, Brick Oven, Well baby Nursery at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center (by far my favorite job!!!) Home Health Aide (loved this one too).
8. 5 thing people don't know about me.
This one is hard because I'm pretty open about everything but I'll try...
1.I had horrible, horrible bloody noses growing up and finally when I was 18 had my nose caterized (I think that's how you spell it???). 2. I grew up on a farm with cows, pigs, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, turkeys and dogs. 3. My favorite thing to do as a little girl was climb rocks and catch lizards.4. I used to want to have 12 children like my Aunt Karen until I had 1 and realized how amazing she really was. Now I think 4 or 5 is good enough. 5. Mike used to call me Felicity because he said I followed him to California like that girl on Felicity followed Ben to NY. Ha! Ha! It couldn't be that I missed all of my friends in Cali and wanted to get the fetch out of Utah! Although I was VERY happy Mike was moving back too.

Today is the big day, "Super Tuesday" and I have already been out to vote. I want to encourage everyone who reads this blog to get out and vote today. I have been following this election very closely and am a strong supporter of Mitt Romney. No, I am not voting for him just because he is Mormon, I am voting for him because he is against abortion, he doesn't believe in amnesty for illegal immigrants, he believes in cutting taxes and spending in Washington, he knows the economy better than any other candidate and has a record of making changes. The list goes on and on and I will admit that knowing he has high morals, strong values and faith in God makes his decision a no-brainer for me.
I was watching Fox News and they said that Orange County voters are crucial for Mitt Romney. So those of you who live in the OC get out and vote (unless your voting for McCain-then you can just stay home =) ha ha. For those of you who think Mitt doesn't have a chance you should know he is polling very well. If Mike Huckabee was out of the race we wouldn't be so desperate, but Mitt is still winning in the California polls by 9% and is doing very well in most other states. Here is a video clip explaining why he would be the best choice for Californians.

Garth Brooks Rocks!

Mike's Birthday was last Monday (21st) and for his Bday I got tickets to the Garth Brooks concert!! It was amazing! We had sooo much fun! He is such an amazing singer. When I bought the tickets I didn't realize that is was going to be Live on National Television, so when we got there I was really surprised that there were so many cameras. It was neat to see the taping. It was a fundraiser for the fire victims of the Southern California fires. During the taping, every time they would go to commercial Garth would totally rock out. He told us than when the camera's turned off he was going to let out his belly and get the party started...and boy did he! (not the belly part, the party part =) Here are some pictures.

When the concert ended the crowd went crazy! You can't even imagine the energy in that room,
so he came out for an encore! Again, after he left the crowd went crazy so he came out with his band a second time. Then after the third time of him leaving and the crowd going wild, he came out by himself. That was the best part of the whole concert. He said that because of the taping we got kind-of ripped off, so he stood there by himself with his guitar and just sang for about 20 minutes! Everything from James Taylor "Fire and Rain", George Straight "Amarillo by morning", Bob Seager, Billy Joel "Piano Man" and he ended with Don McClean "American Pie". Mike leaned over about halfway into this and said "this guy is amazing, he can sing anything"!!! He really put on a great show! I took some video, but can't figure out how to download it yet. Watch for it in a later post.
